Alcohol seized in youth crackdown
Police have seized almost 200 litres of alcohol from youngsters in the Stirling area.
Officers from Central Scotland Police targeted groups of youths as part of Operation Eclipse, which also detected 62 instances of vandalism.
The force said a weekly under 18's disco was contributing to the disorder.
Supt Int Gary Lawrie, of Central Scotland Police, said the amount of alcohol found highlighted the need for more parental supervision.
Mr Lawrie added: "Drink is key to youth-related anti-social behaviour which blights our communities.
"We need the help of parents in tackling the problems of underage drinking and the associated problems of anti-social behaviour.
"Parents need to know where their children are when they are out."
The force said the weekly under 18 disco, held in the city centre, was contributing to disorder and would result in increased police patrols.
Supt Int Lawrie said a "tough stance" would be taken on those flouting the law.
